BARI supports research-policy collaborations that advance social science research, and use these findings to improve policy and practice. BARI projects provide insights into daily life in greater Boston, help policymakers and practitioners to better serve their constituencies, and increase our understanding of human behavior.
Projects typically include:
- A database used to answer central questions, including a mixture of administrative data and research data collection
- Maps, videos, reports, scientific publications, and other documents that summarize key findings
- Implementation and evaluation of new policy and practice innovations
- In many cases, courses, internships and fellowships that involve undergraduate and graduate students in the project
